Mobile Battery Service

Specialists in Hybrid Batteries

As Authorised Hybrid Battery Installers we help lead in the circular economy, working to ensure that Hybrid & EV batteries continue to deliver environments benefits well past the life of the vehicle they came out of.

We remove the impact of Hybrid/EV battery waste by reusing, repurposing and recycling batteries for life. We offer refurbished and brand-new options for Hybrid Batteries. Toyota Aqua Hybrid Battery and Toyota Prius Hybrid Battery are the top sellers. We install Hybrid Batteries in South Auckland, West Auckland, East Auckland, Central Auckland.

Lead Acid Battery

A lead-acid battery is the oldest and most widely used type of rechargeable battery found in vehicles. It uses lead plates submerged in a mixture of sulfuric acid and water (the electrolyte) to store and release electrical energy. Despite newer battery chemistries being available, lead-acid batteries remain common because they are:

Stop Start Technology

Stop–start technology—also known as start–stop or idle-stop—is designed to reduce fuel consumption and emissions by automatically shutting off a vehicle’s engine when it comes to a temporary halt and restarting it when the driver is ready to move again. The system operates seamlessly, requiring little to no input from the driver. Stop–start vehicles use Absorbent Glass Mat (AGM) or Enhanced Flooded Batteries (EFB), which tolerate frequent deep cycles and high charge/discharge rates better than standard lead-acid batteries.

AGM Battery

An AGM (Absorbent Glass Mat) battery is an advanced type of lead-acid battery that uses fiberglass mats to absorb and hold the electrolyte (battery acid).
Instead of the liquid electrolyte sloshing freely inside the battery, the acid is immobilized within these glass mats, which sit tightly between the battery’s lead plates.
This construction gives AGM batteries several advantages over traditional flooded lead-acid batteries:

At Carologist we ensure to have the correct AGM Battery for your vehicle. We not only install the battery, we also code the battery into your vehicles Battery Monitoring System (BMS). This ensures the battery is charged correctly and ensure longevity of the battery. Carologist Battery Service operates in the Auckland Region.

EFB Battery

An EFB (Enhanced Flooded Battery) is an upgraded version of a traditional flooded lead-acid battery. It is designed to provide better durability, increased charge-acceptance, and improved cycling performance—making it suitable for vehicles with moderate stop-start demands or higher-than-normal electrical needs.

EFB batteries sit between standard flooded batteries and AGM batteries in terms of performance, durability, and cost. Contact Carologist Limited Battery Service and we can recommend the correct battery for your needs. Carologist Battery Service will install and code the battery into your vehicle, if needed.

Deep Cycle Battery

A deep cycle battery is a type of lead-acid (or sometimes lithium-based) battery designed to deliver consistent, sustained power over a long period and withstand repeated deep discharges. Unlike standard starter batteries—which are built to provide short bursts of high current to crank an engine—deep cycle batteries are engineered to be discharged 50–80% of their capacity on a regular basis without damage. They are built for endurance rather than high-intensity starting power.

These Batteries are used in the following applications:

Commercial Battery

Commercial vehicle batteries are heavy-duty energy storage units designed for trucks, buses, vans, agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and other work-focused vehicles. These vehicles demand far more from their electrical systems than passenger cars, so commercial batteries are built for higher durability, greater capacity, and more robust performance under harsh conditions. Carologist Mobile Battery Service will come to your location in Auckland and install the battery keeping your commercial vehicle moving, saving you time and money.

A commercial vehicle battery is engineered to handle:
